Hello! I am Mia Lappalainen, the owner of Outisen Horse Riding Center (Outisen Ratsastuskeskus). I found my place on Earth in Lapland and founded a horse paradise at the shore of Outijoki river, 12 km from Kemijärvi towards Sodankylä.

I invite everyone to come visit us - I cater to people of all ages and levels of experience. I organize trail rides for beginners and experienced riders, horsemanship and riding classes, and of course sleigh rides with the sound of Christmas bells! I am also happy to accommodate any special requests you may have to make your stay memorable.

My horses are happy animals who enjoy a lot of space on our farm and love to interact with our guests. Take a moment for yourself and come and get to know our unhurried, happy and animal-loving lifestyle. Find your second home at Outisen Resort! Welcome!

Great experience in a magical snowy Lapland landscape. Mia is very helpful and knowledgable, she takes good care of her animals on the farm. We went for a ride with a little horse family of dad mum and daughter - so cute!

This was the most incredible experience ever, from the moment we got there we were so warmly welcomed by Mia and her many farm animals, the trail ride was absolutely breath taking through the heavily snowed forest, Mia’s knowledge about her horses and her land is amazing, we really learnt a lot this day, even got to know what footprints in the snow belonged to what animal! the horses we rode were so cute and well trained, all horses (and animals) are so well looked after you can tell this is Mia’s passion, we haven’t stopped looking at photos from this day, it was so special, thank you Mia again for your hospitality and allowing us to create such a special and unique memory in Finland, we will 1000% be visiting you when we come back, lots of love!
